SRA: A Spiritual Phenomenon in a Physical World
One of the major reasons satanically ritually abused persons have so much difficulty finding help for healing, or justice and protection from our system of jurisprudence is that satanic ritual abuse is a phenomenon that is spiritual in nature but occurring in a physical and natural world. It is like it has one foot in the spiritual realm and one foot in the earthly realm but the spiritual realm is more powerful than the earthly.
One purpose for the rituals is to send out power to blind the eyes of people to what is happening spiritually and physically right in their midst. As Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians, “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4, NLT). We see here that Satan has blinded people to any understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and we can carry this to another obvious conclusion and that is that they don’t see what is happening around them regarding the activities of Satan either. Even many Christians don’t believe there is a Devil or if they believe he exists, they don’t believe he can have any influence over them.
The whole subject of curses and the power of Satan is mostly ignored in our churches. It is true we should not dwell on this, but at the same time, we need to be informed so we can do warfare against the Devil and his followers. Part of doing warfare should be to protect our children and also to help others around us who still suffer the repercussions of childhood abuse and who had no one to protect them when they were children. Most Satanism, at least as I have seen it in my past twenty-seven years of ministry to SRA persons, has been generational. People coming to me for help were abused in their own families. How can this be? you may ask. The torture, murder and sexual abuse of children is unthinkable to anyone in their “right mind.” However, when people are born into satanic families, their “right mind” can be controlled by their unconscious mind where many unthinkable behaviors have been programmed in and empowered and controlled by demonic entities. I explain this further in the following few paragraphs excerpted from my book, Sanctification in Reverse:
“Freud believed there had to be the existence of mental phenomena which was not available to awareness, but still had a powerful influence on mental life. He wrote that repressed material was not static while in the unconscious state, but rather had a life of its own and that such material developed more quickly and vigorously than material that was governed by the constraints and reality testing of conscious experience.
“This knowledge was seized upon by evil geniuses of Hitler’s Third Reich and used for experimentation on the minds of infants and small children for purposes of control and satanic power. Hence we see today in SRA the layering of the unconscious mind with dissociated parts created through severe abuse who control the conscious mind of an individual without his/her knowledge. In this way, parts of a person’s mind that were programmed through abuse (and reside in the unconscious mind) are able to surface and cause the person to do things they would not ordinarily do when living out of their conscious mind.
“Freud wrote that the unconscious was composed of wishes and desires, impulses and drives, where reality had no place and there were no constraints on desire. One can easily see how this concept could be used to take advantage of a person’s natural instincts for survival imbedded in the sin nature. Through dissociation certain splits in the psyche could be programmed to do evil without constraint because, as Freud wrote, the unconscious is in opposition to the world of order and common-sense and a great subverter of everyday life.
“According to Freud, because repressed ideas lie outside of consciousness, they cannot be easily controlled by it and are instead the source of many behaviors and experiences which do not have the character of being willed by the self. This concept was utilized by evil geniuses to program the mind of an SRA person to work against himself. Thus certain dissociated parts can be assigned the job of keeping the host person awake all night, giving him headaches, telling him he is inferior to everyone else, contacting abusers to tell them the location where he has fled for safety, etc. These perpetrators took advantage of Freud’s discoveries to harness the unconscious mind of an individual in order to control him and serve the cult against his own conscious will. However, there is more than psychology involved here. The spiritual dimension of demons is added into the mix to give power and further control a person. One can see how there is no escape from such a predicament save through the divine intervention of Jesus Christ working through the prayer and love of a committed Christian minister.” (Sanctification in Reverse, pp. 96, 97)
During ministry to persons who have suffered satanic abuse I have observed manifestations that have led me to believe that the unconscious mind is closely connected with spiritual influences. During ministry, Jesus reveals what these influences in the unconscious mind are thereby making what was unknown to the person’s conscious mind known. With this knowledge, accompanied by prayer, the person is able to break these powerful influences that were purposely programmed into them. In this way, the unconscious and conscious minds are healed.
This is just one of several reasons why Christians need to get involved in this ministry to abused persons. By means of prayer, not therapeutic processes or hypnosis, but by prayer, Jesus reveals to the person what is hidden from them in their unconscious mind in order for them to know how to pray. Without God’s intervention in our lives, these unconscious things can remain in us our entire lifetime.
People working in law enforcement and court processes can only deal with what is known in the conscious minds of people where things related to the physical realm of our natural world are known. The influences hidden in the unconscious mind of a person are difficult and most likely impossible to prove in a court of law. The testimony of a licensed mental health provider can sometimes be admissible, but the elements one deals with in satanic ritual abuse are mostly not admissible in a court setting even from a professional therapist because it touches on spiritual matters. We Christians need to pray daily that the reality of SRA becomes known in our churches and also in our secular society such that this reality can become common knowledge. Then, and only then, can it become a consideration in legal matters that concern the safety of abused persons and especially children.
